Other than the specially dressed biters mentioned above with a good weapon most biters won't last too many hits. Chopping up zombies the normal way uses weapon durability but it saves stamina(less used per swing). But its also exhausting, Crane at base stamina has 2 stomps before hes in the gray(exhausted). Yes yes its awesome and does not use weapon durability. Making your elemental weapons proc more often is truly a boon. Flammable liquid seems to boost molotov damage(they scream and burn faster) and conducting liquid with a lighting weapon lets you not only turn biters into tesla coils, but stun them too. But now I am starting to see their power. I never had a reason to use one or the other. Or if you can't then heal and KICK LIKE CRAZY(dodge too if you must).įlammable and conducting liquids are oddly useful. Medkits heal over time instead of instantly, if you need to heal it may be a good idea to get on a roof. Its not so bad, again most enemies can't climb buildings, so just get to a safe place and do your business. You know that odd build bar you see when your making something? Seemed pointless, until now. THERE IS NO PAUSE, only exception is the esc menu. you can dance around it, kick zombies inot it, judo throw zombies into it or simply use it to stop them from following you. You can turn these on to electrify the water. Use fire crackers to bring them together and then activate the trap(it makes a loud noise so they will come in on it, even virals prefer the noise over you).Īlso if you see a puddle of water then look for a cord, it will usually be connected to a powerline or a generator. Car traps and electric fence traps are good ways to farm XP. TRAPS are amazing, it just nullifies their annoying durability(or culls the weak leaving the tough bastards alone). Standard concept for all the others, if your at legend area then get a bow, upgrade it and aim high. I died more to biters than ANY other infected. This insane durability combined with the fact THAT THEY IGNORE PHYSICS AND GET KNOCKED BACK INTO YOU(not salty ) when you wack em makes them oddly good at cornering you. Soldiers, rais thugs, guys in jumpsuits and oddly enough female zombies in gowns(don't know why). Luckily this is not for ALL the biters, just a few notable ones. Take a 3.5 K melee weapon to their heads and watch them stumble at you 6 times before falling over.and promptly getting back up. It really is striking just how tough some of these bastards can be. There is never a time you can't kick, making this basic skill invaluable for crowd control and keeping the biters at bay while you regen stamina.īiters are oddly one of the most dangerous infected around. And EVERYTHING has a cost, except kicking. Nightmare brings back combat stamina(last power level instead of infinite combat stamina simply makes it regen quickly). Take it as a tourist guide(Wanted to call it that, but I doubt new players will be looking for a "tourist guide"), some stuff I noticed when I jumped from normal to nightmare. It deals 100 damage and takes a while to recover, allowing it to hit you 1 or 2 more times. Not much in skill or knowledge compared to some of the guru's in these threads. Just do one hit each time then immediately chamber back up, even if you stun it (by power hitting in the head). I eventually beat it to death with table legs (killing the viral waves that appear with my machete and stomping on their heads) then chucked my last table leg and killed it. You can also scrap pipes for metal parts to repair the machete Rais gives you. When your weapon is busted, throw it at the demolisher for additional damage. Immediately leap backward and chamber up the cargo box, wait for it to throw another rock then repeat. Wait for it to throw a rock attack then fall down on it while releasing the power attack, aiming for its head which can stun it. Lure the demolisher to one of the cargo boxes. It took a whole bunch of tries and some of my deaths took off some of its armor but the same principle should apply. Managed to deal about 5% damage with a hammer and explosives Originally posted by Cellador93:I'm stuck there as well
